After all it is tonkotsu ramen There is Ichiran on the west side of Hakata station~
From Hakata Station (conventional line side) of Hakata Station, go straight and there is a boulevard. There is a bus stop where many people are lined up, so you can ride from there
Currently, the quasi-rapid classification has been revised to segment rapid. Previously ~ Arao ~ Hakata ~ Ogura ~ There was a difference in the number of stops and the required time in the order of fast → semi-fast → normal between, and the semi-fast stop was a basic fixed station. However, the speed of the section changes due to the adjustment of the overtaking waiting time of the limited express train-Arao-Kurume-Tosu-Futsukaichi-Minami Fukuoka-Hakata-Fukuma-Akama-Kokura ... It has changed. The basic express 1 hour head, high speed 1 hour head, semi (section) high speed 1 hour head, normal 15 minute head at Hakata starting point. Postscript was late. South Fukuoka-Hakata-Mojiko Minami Fukuoka-(Normal)-Hakata / Hakata-(Rapid from Hakata)-Moji Port-> Rapid from Hakata Minami Fukuoka-(Rapid)-Hakata-(Rapid)-Moji Port-> Rapid Minami Fukuoka-(section rapid)-Hakata-(section rapid)-Fukuma-(normal, each station stop)-Moji Port → section rapid I think that.
Many. Next to the station.
??
There is a natural hot spring bath 😌♨️ that you can enter for 900 yen at Yaoji Hakata Hotel near Hakata Ekimae 4-Chome Ginseng Park ✨
Which one?
Gorgeous lights during the winter. The gateway to southern japan. The Japan rails staff is very knowledgeable and slightly bilingual for English.
Very busy station with many restaurants and department stores inside and around the station. Very convenient
Very big an busy Train Station! If you must change trains (a.e. Shinkansen to Regional Train) and you are not familiar with the situation, make sure that you have enough time for searching / asking the way... At least, 30 Minutes are O.K. - less will end up rushing...
Very big station and busy. Lots of restaurants and eatery shops. Better to check where you have to ride your train in advance... as a foreign tourist, quite not easy.
It's a convenient station. You can alsoeat or buy something here.
Many peolple and kind of train with department store. You can climb the rooftop garden on the 10th floor of Amu Plaza at Hakata Station.
Big station with many shopping areas nearby. The station is somewhat symmetric, so it's easy to get lost or confused about west and east exit.
It's too huge... I'm don't dare to walk all the way through, scare to get lost inside. The subway station entrance open at 5.15am. If you are early, you need to wait.
Excellent... Well organized and clean. Trains just on time as usual in Japan.
A important station from Fukuoka to other places.
I love it 😻
This is a major transportation hub for Hakata. Here you will find the local JR train lines and the JR Shinkansens. On the outside of the terminal is the entrance to the local metro train system. The complex houses oodles of shops and is adjacent to BIC Camera, Yodobashi and Daiso stores, just to name a few. If you come in spring then the surroundings will be blooming in various flowers such as tulips.
This train station is stunning. It's ne of the masterpieces of modern construction. We were here during the christmas and the christmas market with all the light effects was unforgettable!
Big Station. Lots to see
Very nice station with many shops on multiple levels. Clean and bright and even not bad when crowded. Easy to get between levels, except you need to go outside to change to the subway. Many souvenir shops in Maingu give out samples you can try many kinds of karashi mentaiko.
Amazing aquare with great lights.
Probably the best train station in the world. Every single ESC singer would love it. The staff is super friendly and very considerate, even if you need to put your sleeping mattress in front of it.
The station staff were super helpful and helped us get to the platform just in time for the shinkansen train.Otherwise it was difficult for use to navigate through this station as it has both Shinkansen, JR local as well as metro lines.
Major transit, dining and accomodation node for the city of Fukuoka. Well organized and maintained with clear signages. Besides JR and Shinkansen, the station is also integrated with Hakata City, a vibrant shopping mall with great mix of retail and dining options. Great place to hang out and transit
Top notch station, with food, transportation, and shopping. Better in my opinion, than tenshin. The north side is cheaper, the south side is fancier.Hard to not get lost, but once you come often enough for biz trips, it's like your back garden, easy to find the stuff you need. There's also a supermarket too, but due to the district, may be a bit pricey, but still cheap since it's a big supermarket.
Good experience if you the first time travelling to Fukuoka
The station is awesome and very busy place. It is convenient to get from here to other prefecture of Japan.
Hakata station is a little city in itself. Apart from tunnels, platform and all the other train stuff. They have big food area in its own building. The most amazing is the ramen street. But like I said it's not a street, it's in the building. All these ramen places has their own ramen style. You pick one, or two. I went to three places and order different type of ramen from each one and it all amazing. Now I'm on shinkansen home with food come
Google map navigation info doesn't match the stations info and the direction given are not clear enough
It’s huge and beautiful main Station.Easy access to many places and the Fukuoka airport is just 5 minutes away from here .Bus terminal is also right next to it !There is Hankyu department store and OIOI shopping mall right above the station so you can find many things to do around it.Eating, shopping and killing some time.
Great station with lots of shopping malls and restaurants located inside and around the station. You can find anything in here. The traffic is always heavy. Signage inside the station is very clear (in both Japanese and English). Easy to follow and search for direction. There are bus stops, taxi stands in front of the station.
The Tapioca station at Hakata station in Fukuoka has great boba green tea.
most beautiful in christmas
very big station
It’s the Hamaya station.
big station with department stores
This station is the hub of transportation in Fukuoka. Make sure you find base place for travel around here
Great, clean station with much to do in and around. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. Thank you.
Hakata Station is huge and it is easy to get lost in here. There's an abundance of shops and eateries within the station.
Convenient to access city in Fukuoaka
Great station, very clean and all your shopping needs
This station is where everything and everyone meets in Fukuoka. Shinkansen (bullet trains) stop and start here. Easily access nearby prefectures and areas by boarding buses or the even faster trains. Station is equipped with a mall with a roof deck view and cool hangout place. You can see the planes land/depart from there! Many food options for dine-in at the top floors. Do not miss the croissant at the middle of the station, the delicious smell will lead you there!
JR ticketing service staffs for foreign tourists are always showing unhappy face.
Very convenient place to stay if you visit Kyushu region. This station has everything you want such as shopping center Food zone. This is Hub connect to everywhere in Kyushu.
I love to see the shinkansen through the glass from outside.
BUSY train station with shinkansen, subway, and JR trains connection with also direct path towards plaza/mall in the area. A bit confusing at first for first timer visitor like me, but enough sign in English to find my way through. The customer service staffs are very helpful as well
Bike parking!I was searching for places to park my moped and couldn't find anything online. So, I wanted to leave this review to help any of you planning to park your bicycle, moped or motorcycle at hakata station. There are apparently a few parking areas. The one I went to is at the hakata entrance, near the police station. It's only a 100 yen a day for bicycles and 200 yen a day for motorcycles, and you can keep for multiple days.
I think this is the biggest station in Fukuoka where the shinkansen come and go. There’s several mall too inside the station, and don’t forget to go to ramen alley on the 2nd floor near shinkansen gate!
Great oyster bar 😋
Lot of trains and shopping stores. Most destination to Kyushu attraction point start from here.
If you visit this area, you're very likely to visit Hakata station whether come from the airport or trying to get on a bus to Yuhuin(famous onsen village). There are some gift shops and bento shops, a good place to look around if you need to kill some time.
Huge but well signed and easy to navigate.
You can probably spend few hours right at the station. So many restaurant to choose and enjoy. This is the main hub of transportation in the area. Usually decoration outside the station will match the season. Also the will be activities like concerts or show at night during weekend.
Huge, lively shopping centre.
It's a huge station, been there and ride tsubame Shinkansen (mickey mouse edition), what a precious experience riding Shinkansen
